Job summary

Peraton is seeking a skilled AI/Data Analyst to support the development and application of AI-enabled solutions within a mission-focused environment. You will work with modern LLMs, RAG, NLP, and cloud-based AI technologies to turn complex data into intelligent, scalable applications.

This role is suited for professionals with backgrounds in intelligence or data analysis, applying analytical expertise to Generative AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ experience or Master’s with 10 years’ experience or Assoc. degree with 14 years’ experience or HS diploma with 16 years’ experience.
• Background as an Intelligence Analyst, All-Source Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical professional.
• Experience integrating, manipulating, or analyzing information from multiple disparate data sources.
• Experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, or AI-assisted analytical tools.
• Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or other LLM platforms for research, analysis, or synthesis.
• Experience with prompt development/prompt engineering and evaluating AI-generated responses.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse datasets from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Evaluate large and diverse datasets to identify patterns, trends, relationships, anomalies, and risks.
• Apply analytical techniques to transform complex information into actionable insights.
• Support the use of Generative AI and LLMs to analyze, summarize, categorize, and extract insights.
• Develop and refine prompts to improve AI-generated results quality and accuracy.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
• Research and correlate information across data sources for a complete understanding.
• Prepare data for AI-enabled analysis including validation, cleansing, normalization, tagging.
• Support dashboards, reports, visuals, and analyses for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into AI capabilities.
• Identify opportunities where AI and analytics improve processes.
• Document methodologies, data sources, assumptions, findings, and recommendations.
• Apply data governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
