Job summary

Huntington is seeking a Senior Principal Software Developer to lead AI cybersecurity initiatives across enterprise platforms. This role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering standards within secure SDLC practices.

You will design and deploy AI/ML solutions for threat detection, integrate with security tooling, and drive automation through CI/CD in a cloud-native setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent software development experience.
• 8+ years of production support and design of cybersecurity technologies.
• 8+ years of operational experience with security technologies.
• 8+ years across the full SDLC including requirements, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, operations.

Responsibilities

• AI solution development: design, build, and deploy AI/ML applications for cybersecurity operations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.
• Embed cybersecurity controls and secure coding in AI apps and pipelines.
• Develop use cases for threat detection, alert triage, vulnerability analysis, identity analytics, and risk scoring.
• Implement automation and agent-driven workflows to optimize cyber operations.
• Engineer data pipelines for logs, telemetry, and security analytics.
• Deploy and manage scalable AI solutions in cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD).
• Integrate AI apps with SIEM, SOAR, IAM and data platforms.
• Ensure AI governance, regulatory compliance, and secure SDLC practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, cloud, and data governance teams.
