Job summary

Brightpoint Community College seeks a dynamic, innovative faculty member to serve as Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Faculty / Lab Director. This 12-month, full-time position provides instructional leadership for the AI and Cybersecurity Lab while teaching credit and non-credit courses in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying discipline consistent with SACSCOC faculty credentialing requirements.
• Demonstrated teaching experience or significant industry experience in cybersecurity, information technology, networking, cloud computing, AI, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience using instructional technologies and learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach credit and workforce development courses in AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, IT, and related disciplines.
• Develop and maintain curriculum, course materials, student learning outcomes, assessments, and learning activities.
• Advise, mentor, and support student success, retention, career readiness, and academic progression.
• Prepare students for industry credentials and employment opportunities.
• Lead day-to-day operation of the AI and Cybersecurity Lab and oversee lab resources and lifecycle management.
