MissionHires is seeking a software engineering task designer to craft realistic, production-grade scenarios and tests based on professional experience. You will generate tasks with detailed specs, logs, and API contracts for AI agents and judge their outputs against clear criteria.

You will run AI coding agents, compare outputs, document strengths and weaknesses, and refine tasks accordingly. This role emphasizes independent, hands-on engineering work with strong written communication in English.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on individual-contributor engineering experience; not purely managerial.
• Ability to use a terminal, Git, tests, and debuggers; quick codebase understanding.

Responsabilidades

• Design challenging, realistic software engineering tasks based on professional experience.
• Run tasks through AI coding agents and evaluate their deliverables.
• Compare multiple agent outputs against identical specifications and codebases, document strengths/weaknesses.
• Create tests, rubrics, and success criteria defining correct behavior and edge cases.
• Write evidence-based evaluations identifying failures and misalignments with specs.
• Contribute expertise across your stack and review tasks created by others.
• Propose and build task scenarios from professional experience, including failure modes.
