Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in a fully remote, hourly contract role to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will write, review, and provide expert feedback to help train AI systems to think like developers, with flexible, asynchronous hours.

Responsibilities include coding across languages, debugging AI outputs, and designing prompts to stress-test capabilities. The role offers autonomy, remote work, and ongoing project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages listed (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript).
• Able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity and precision.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or doesn’t.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
