This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning operational workflows within different cloud environments, with AWS Cloud Landscape being the primary. This role would be working closely with AI Developers, Data Engineers, and Business teams to suggest, design, and implement end-to-end automated capabilities in a secure manner for the organization to consume. The role involves primarily leveraging AWS services, modern AI frameworks, and automation tools to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.

Essential Job Functions

1. Develop and manage AI/ML pipelines using AWS services like but not limited to Bedrock, Sagemaker, Vector DBs (pgvector, Kendra, or OpenSearch).
2. Design, implement, and optimize RAG pipelines using LangChain, HayStack, or AutoGen, including data ingestion, embedding generation, retrieval, and generation components.
3. Design autonomous agent architectures using AutoGen, LangGraph, etc., implementing optimized prompt engineering patterns and agent communication protocols.
4. Explore and implement new LLM architectures and techniques to enhance RAG capabilities using AWS Bedrock.
5. Integrate and fine-tune Hugging Face Transformers models within LangChain workflows for various NLP tasks.
6. Design and optimize cloud infrastructure used for AI and RAG capabilities focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
7. Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices to automate deployments and operations.
8. Enable data scientists to explore data, test hypotheses, and share insights efficiently using PyTorch and Jupyter notebooks.
9. Work closely with product teams, data scientists, and engineers to deliver AI capabilities that meet business needs.
10. Set up system monitoring tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure high performance and reliability.
11. Other activities as may be assigned by your manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 12+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, with at least 2+ years in a VP level role or equivalent.
3. Expertise in AWS services primarily AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, Glue, S3, IAM, Vector Databases – PGVector, Opensearch, or Kendra.
4. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
5. Experience with AI/MLOps platforms (Langchain, MLflow, Kubeflow, DSPy).
6. Knowledge of distributed computing systems and large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
7. In-depth knowledge of GIT platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub.
8. Strong understanding of DevOps practices such as Kubernetes and Terraform.
9. Familiarity with container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker).
10. Advanced knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and prompt engineering techniques.
11. Background in data science or machine learning lifecycle management.
12. Strong commitment and dedication to the position and a team player.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
14. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.

The annual full-time salary range is $130,000 - $200,000, determined through interviews considering education, experience, and location. Certain positions may be eligible for bonuses and benefits including PTO, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401K.
