Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client engagement in highly regulated industries. The role embeds with the client, combining deep technical work with stakeholder leadership to deliver secure, production-grade solutions.

The ideal candidate leads a small technical cell, sets direction, and manages tradeoffs while remaining an individual contributor with strong client presence and autonomy in a fast-paced, regulated

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AI-enabled application stacks and forward-deployed, customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scope, tradeoffs, and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to translate business needs into executable technical solutions.
• Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on designing and building critical parts of the solution.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment.
• Direct and coordinate the cell's Implementation and Data Engineers.
• Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints.
