Job summary

EY seeks a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems in a client engagement inside highly regulated industries. You will be the technical authority within an Advanced Forward Engineering cell, turning ambiguous problems into secure, production-grade solutions while balancing client constraints.

The role embeds with the client, leading a small team, and owning tradeoffs, architecture, and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems, ideally in regulated or client-facing contexts.
Hands-on depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud, and distributed systems.
Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks and orchestration frameworks.
Proven ability to lead small technical teams while remaining an individual contributor.
Strong stakeholder management and client expectation handling under pressure.
Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycle and production readiness.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, and production readiness.
Embed with the client to translate business needs into executable technical solutions.
Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
Stay hands-on, designing and building critical parts of the solution when needed.
Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with governance.
Direct the work of the cell’s engineers to ensure coherent, production-grade outcomes.
Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints in regulated environments.
