American Honda Finance Corp. seeks an AI Business Analyst to drive strategic AI projects within the Strategic Planning department, partnering with leadership and operations to build an AI road map and governance framework.

You will own initiatives from proposal to deployment, coordinating with Captive Finance IT and external vendors, while communicating with senior leaders. The role requires 2+ years in finance/tech, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to navigate

Job Purpose

American Honda Finance is seeking an AI Business Analyst who will contribute to the Strategic Planning department’s innovative goals, with a focus on AI initiatives. In this role, you will lead short- to long-term strategic AI projects, using an agile mindset to move quickly from ideation to implementation while managing multiple projects. Continuous learning is required to stay current on technological advancements and trends in the automotive and financial services industries. This role is key to preparing AHFC to meet and exceed future customer expectations through AI and other innovative solutions.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities Include but are not limited to

• Strategic AI Planning: Partner with leadership and corporate and field operations to build the AI road map and prioritize short- to long-term AI use cases.
• AI Governance and Industry Monitoring: Maintain the AI governance framework for compliance, ethics, and security, and keep management updated on AI advancements and key industry players.
• AI Initiative Ownership: Lead AI initiatives from proposal through implementation with Captive Finance IT and vendors, including business requirements and user acceptance testing, and support deployed models as the AI subject matter expert.
• Executive Communication: Present AI project updates to senior leadership and gain approvals, tailoring messages to the audience.
• Department and AHFC Contribution: Support ad hoc research, reporting, and non-AI initiatives while building deep knowledge of AHFC operations to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Business Partner Relationships: Research key AI and innovation vendors, coordinate meetings, and support Procurement in selecting long-term strategic partners.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required in finance, economics, business, business administration, mathematics/statistics, data science, or a related field
• MBA or related MS degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a financial or technological field, or an outstanding academic record
• Deep understanding of AI technology, capabilities, and implementation strategies
• Solid understanding of the automotive industry and automotive finance business
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
