Job summary

Synergis in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced AI Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the AI delivery organization. You will lead intake, prioritize AI initiatives, and define high-level solutions with architects and technical teams in a hybrid role.

You’ll partner with executives, facilitate discussions, manage backlogs, and drive AI initiatives from idea through planning, shaping the AI roadmap and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role.

TITLE: AI Business Analyst (AI Center of Excellence)

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (hybrid 2-3 days per week in downtown Atlanta)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the AI delivery organization. This individual will lead the intake and prioritization of AI initiatives, helping business partners identify opportunities where AI can create value while working closely with architects and technical teams to define high-level solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with executives, facilitating discussions, prioritizing competing requests, and driving AI initiatives from idea through planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary intake lead for new AI business requests.
• Meet with business stakeholders to understand business challenges and desired outcomes.
• Gather and document high-level business requirements.
• Evaluate and prioritize incoming AI initiatives based on business value, complexity, and strategic alignment.
• Maintain and manage the AI request backlog.
• Partner with AI engineers, architects, and technical leads to define solution approaches and delivery estimates.
• Own and maintain the AI roadmap, balancing business priorities with delivery capacity.
• Act as the communication bridge between business teams and AI delivery teams.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders throughout the request lifecycle.
• Perform business and cost/benefit analyses to support technology investment decisions.
• Align AI initiatives with enterprise strategy and business goals.

Required Experience

• 5-10+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
• Experience leading business intake and requirements gathering.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience prioritizing work requests and managing backlogs.
• Ability to translate business problems into technology solutions.
• Experience working with Agile teams.
• Experience building roadmaps and managing competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience facilitating meetings and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI initiatives.
• Experience working within an AI Center of Excellence or innovation organization.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS AI services, or similar AI platforms.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile planning tools.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, LLMs, or AI governance is a plus, but not required.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $40.00 to $55.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
