Job summary

RAND CAST is seeking an Operations Manager to support the Center's operations. This high-ownership role sits on a fast-moving team, enabling research groups to perform at their best and shaping RAND CAST's working experience.

You will partner with operations leadership, refine processes, and manage time-sensitive activities across procurement, office operations, finance, and events while coordinating with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in project management or operations.
• Experience in procurement management, finance support, and events management.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player with professionalism at all levels.
• Operational management capabilities and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with large and diverse teams including junior and senior members.
• Reliability and attention to detail in demanding environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions quickly.
• Experience navigating complex organizational structures.
• Experience in government, think tanks, or industry-leading organizations.
• Experience with AI, biology, or information security research.

Responsibilities

• Close partnership with operations leadership on center-wide operations initiatives.
• Develop, refine and execute center-wide processes.
• Own and manage time-sensitive processes across procurement, systems and office operations, finance, and events.
• Handle diverse tasks supporting the ops team delivering top priorities under tight timelines.
