Job summary

Nissan is seeking an AI Autonomous Driving Verification & Validation Intern for a 12-week, full-time program in Santa Clara, CA. You will work with engineers to develop testing and evaluation frameworks for AI-powered autonomous vehicles, applying machine learning to automate tests and assess system performance.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a Master's or PhD in CS, Robotics, AI/ML, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a GPA of 3.0+, and experience in Python and ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Master's or PhD degree program in CS, Robotics, AI/ML, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, AI, and data-driven systems development.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with simulation environments, autonomous systems or ADS tech.
• GPA of 3.0 or above; onsite at Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute simulation-based tests for AI-powered autonomous driving systems.
• Develop data-driven tools, performance metrics, and analysis workflows to evaluate system behavior and reliability.
• Apply ML and AI techniques to automate testing, validation, and performance monitoring.
