Job summary

BMW of North America invites students to participate in a Spring 2027 – Summer 2027 Full-Time Internship in Mountain View, CA. The program emphasizes strategic analysis, coordination with tech partners, and hands-on evaluation of automated driving technologies.

Eligible undergrads and grads will work full-time in a hybrid Mountain View setting; pay scales vary by academic level and will follow state disclosures. Background checks may be required, with BMW values guiding the work environment.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
US Work Authorization required.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall).
Completed at least 60 college credits by application time.
Ability to work full‑time (36.25 hours/week).
Must submit an unofficial transcript with your application.
Prior BMW Group experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support strategic analysis and coordination with tech players for automated driving.
Arrange, prepare, summarize and follow-up partner meetings.
Conduct market research and hands-on evaluation of automated driving systems and technologies (hardware, sensors, software and AI).
Create strategic overviews and forecasts of automated driving technology and market.
Assist with daily tasks for running partnership of BMW and proof-of-concept projects.
Prepare and maintain overviews and comparisons of tech players for management presentations.
Organize and support execution of events incl. demo drives.
