Job summary

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy is seeking an AI & Tech Lifeguard to assist faculty, staff, and students with technology and to build practical automations. The role blends 50% development of AI-enabled solutions and 50% technology support on a 12‑month, full-time basis.

Rolling applications and start as soon as ideal candidate identified. The role operates within the Innovation Team under the CIO, with growth opportunities as needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience building a useful script, automation, integration, AI workflow, or database project.
• Early-career candidates with related coursework, internships, or experience are encouraged.
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming such as Python, JavaScript, or Google Apps Script.
• Foundational API and structured data understanding with guidance to develop integrations.
• Basic SQL skills for data retrieval and filtering.
• Familiarity with Apple computers and Google Workspace for everyday support.
• Strong communication, patience, and a service mindset.
• Ability to balance support requests with project work and collaborate effectively.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the CIO to define requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Builds and maintains scripts and automations to reduce repetitive tasks.
• Connects school applications and systems using APIs and integration tools.
• Develops AI-assisted workflows, evaluating accuracy and usefulness.
• Uses database queries to retrieve data, support reporting and data exchanges.
• Tests and troubleshoots solutions before deployment and maintains them post-launch.
• Documents code, configurations, and workflows for team use.
• Follows data privacy and security requirements for student and staff data.
• Communicates progress and measures impact by time saved and errors reduced.
