As part of the Core Automation Team, you will lead the implementation of AI-driven test automation strategies across Physician Experience (PEX) Engineering teams. The primary objective is to transition traditional automation approaches into intelligent, AI-accelerated workflows that significantly improve speed, scalability, and quality.
You will work with cutting-edge tools including Windsurf, Katalon Studio AI Assist, Playwright, GitLab, and Jenkins, helping engineering teams adopt a modern shift-left testing approach while ensuring robust automated validation of both UI and API functionalities.
This role requires a strong blend of automation engineering, AI-assisted development, CI/CD integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Powered Test Automation
- Design, develop, and implement AI-assisted test automation solutions using Windsurf and Katalon Studio AI Assist.
- Drive the adoption of AI-generated and AI-enhanced automation frameworks across engineering teams.
- Reduce test script creation and maintenance effort by at least 50% through intelligent automation practices.
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites for the OneView platform.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI automation technologies and recommend improvements to existing testing processes.
Shift-Left Quality Engineering
- Integrate automated testing early within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Enable developers and QA teams to execute automated smoke, regression, and validation tests at the Pull Request (PR) stage.
- Partner with development teams to establish quality gates and improve defect prevention.
- Promote automation best practices that improve software quality and accelerate release cycles.
- Configure, trigger, and manage automated test executions through GitLab and Jenkins pipelines.
- Ensure seamless integration of automated testing within Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery workflows.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute daily automated testing reports and quality metrics to engineering leadership.
- Monitor execution results, identify failures, and drive rapid resolution of automation issues.
Automation Framework Development
- Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks supporting web, mobile, and API testing.
- Enhance framework capabilities to support AI-driven test generation, execution, and reporting.
- Implement best practices for test design, data management, and script governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support feature delivery teams by providing automation expertise and hands-on testing support as needed.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Mentor team members on modern automation techniques and AI-enabled testing methodologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across automation and quality engineering functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio, Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent automation tools.
- Experience automating both UI and API testing.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
