University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking an AI Automation Designer I within the IT department to embed with administrative teams and deliver AI-enabled automation solutions. The role focuses on creating repeatable patterns for scalable deployments and improving workflows across campus.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with low-code automation (Power Automate), Python, and AI/ML on Azure, along with strong collaboration skills across functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4+ years) in lieu of degree.
• Experience with AI/ML, RPA, and cloud platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AI Center of Excellence and administrative teams to identify and design automation opportunities that deliver measurable value.
• Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using low-code RPA tools like Power Automate, Python, and Azure AI capabilities.
• Create reusable playbooks, templates, and modules for replication across departments (e.g., FAQ agents, tool-invoking agents, knowledge bots).
• Support deployment, testing, and rollout of AI/agent workflows with logging, error handling, and QA.
• Ensure governance, privacy, and security standards in all AI deployments.
