Job summary
American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst in Columbus to bridge business teams and technical architects. You will translate objectives into clear requirements, document current-state processes, and quantify opportunities to drive value across AI and automation initiatives.
You will design test plans for probabilistic AI outputs, define acceptance criteria, and support governance, data quality, and compliance considerations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field.
- Or associate's degree in computer science or related field with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
- Understand business objectives and translate into clear requirements.
- Document current processes and quantify opportunities.
- Facilitate sessions with stakeholders and gather needs.
- Define testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with architects to frame problems and options.
- Contribute to AI governance and production readiness criteria.
- Design and execute end-to-end test plans.
- Support training materials and change communications.
