Job summary
ECPI University is seeking an AI-augmented Software Development Faculty / SME to lead the integration of AI tools and responsible development practices across the undergraduate software development curriculum. The role focuses on preparing students with no coding experience to work productively and ethically alongside AI from day one.
The candidate will design courses on AI-assisted coding, prompt engineering, and secure coding, while mentoring colleagues and aligning curriculum with industry
Qualifications
- Hands-on AI-augmented software development
- Experience designing or delivering curriculum for beginner-to-intermediate learners
- Teaching or mentoring experience preferred for students new to programming
Responsibilities
- Serve as institutional SME for AI-augmented software development and guide curriculum design
- Design, develop, and refine curriculum covering AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering
- Teach courses at the intersection of software development and AI using real-world tools and case studies
- Model professional AI workflows in the classroom and incorporate secure coding principles
- Mentor faculty in AI-augmented pedagogy and collaborate with leadership to reflect industry expectations
- Stay current with advancements in generative AI and related tools
