Job summary

Yahoo seeks a security engineer to own the browser and endpoint hardening program. You will lead the rollout of a new browser security platform, pilot with device management partners and drive production deployment across the fleet.

You’ll shape policies, review AI-driven risk scoring, and partner with IT, security, and legal teams to advance the roadmap. Strong collaboration and practical risk balancing are essential as you scale enterprise macOS and Windows endpoints.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical discipline.
4+ years in information security, focusing on endpoint security or security engineering.
Hands-on experience hardening macOS and Windows endpoints at enterprise scale.
Experience with enterprise device management and policy consoles.
Knowledge of hardware security features and full-disk encryption.
Experience with policy enforcement and application control.
Familiarity with data loss prevention and removable media control.
Experience using enterprise AI tools to automate investigations.
Ability to collaborate with IT, security, and legal teams.

Responsibilities

Owns end-to-end security program for endpoint hardening and browser security rollout.
Automate and refine review and risk scoring of policy requests using AI.
Review AI-generated policy logic before deployment to avoid bypasses.
Partner with IT, identity, legal, and communications teams to advance roadmaps.
Triage exceptions and update underlying policies to prevent recurring issues.
Support fleet security posture reporting to security leadership.
Develop AI-assisted workflows to automate reviews and triage of requests.
