Job summary

Mercor seeks a highly skilled domain expert to advance frontier engineering-reasoning evaluation runs. You will write simulations and specifications, design artifacts such as controllers and geometry, and define pass/fail thresholds to guide model outputs.

You will work in a browser-based studio with GitHub, build quantitative acceptance criteria, and judge rigorously to ensure designs satisfy every spec.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent industry track record in a relevant field.
• Experience writing simulations in Python and defining quantitative thresholds.
• Ability to design problems and judge rigorously.

Responsibilities

• Define simulations and specifications; design artifacts that satisfy every spec.
• Set pass/fail thresholds, specify the prompt, and run a limited number of simulation calls.
• Use the agentic grader to score spec satisfaction and review designs.
