Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a domain-expert to join a frontier engineering-reasoning evaluation run in collaboration with a leading AI research lab in San Francisco. You will design simulations and specifications, define pass/fail thresholds, and guide the model to produce a final design that satisfies every spec.

You will review results with a focus on quantitative criteria, work in a browser-based studio and GitHub, and contribute to rigorous problem formulation.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent industry track record in a relevant domain.
• Experience writing simulations in Python and expressing acceptance criteria as quantitative, testable thresholds.
• Ability to define problems that are rigorous and not shortcuttable.
• Comfortable working in a browser-based studio and GitHub environments.
