Job summary

SHR seeks an AI Architect SME to provide enterprise-level leadership for FEMA’s AI strategy, responsible AI governance, and adoption of advanced ML and automation capabilities to support mission-critical operations.

Oversee AI governance, model risk management, and compliance; lead design of enterprise-scale AI platforms, data ecosystems, and MLOps; advise leadership on emerging AI capabilities and strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of work experience with similar responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Clearance requirements: Public Trust (preferred). FEMA Public Trust preferred.
• Expert-level AI/ML knowledge and cloud-native architecture.
• Knowledge of ethics, governance, and risk frameworks for AI.
• Ability to guide enterprise modernization efforts.

Salary Range: $170,000.00 To $185,000.00 Annually
