Job summary

PA Consulting in Charlotte, NC is seeking an AI Architect to lead delivery architecture for digital products, AI agents, and modernized platforms. You will translate business problems into scalable, production-ready solutions and work with AI engineers to ensure alignment with design and security requirements.

You will define architectures, guardrails, and integrations, while guiding teams through discovery to deployment and sometimes staying with the product post go-live.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering complex production software.
• Hands-on AI and agent-based systems in production.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Ability to design scalable retrieval-enabled systems.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery architecture for digital products and AI solutions.
• Define tool choices, memory, context, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Build and guide retrieval pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
• Modernize platforms and applications to meet business needs.
• Design security and operational resilience from the start.
• Break down complex problems and define scope and plans.
• Create reusable patterns and tooling for future engagements.
