Job summary

Dotsolved Systems is seeking an AI Architect to lead the technical design for a billing modernization program. You will craft the architecture for on-premises and Azure deployments, and lead the AI agent that reads customer usage reports from emails and documents.

You will collaborate with a US-based solution architect, an offshore engineer, and client IT/finance teams to plan migration, ensure validation, and hand over to support. Strong writing and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in software or solution architecture, with 2+ years building AI/LLM solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services including Azure OpenAI, App Service/Functions, Azure SQL and Azure DevOps.
• Experience extracting data from PDFs, Excel and other documents and measuring accuracy against a test set.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Architect to lead the technical design on a billing modernization program for a technology client. The work has two parts. First, we rebuild a legacy on-premises billing application using AI-assisted development and finish an AI agent that reads customer usage reports from email. Second, we move the modernized application to Microsoft Azure and run it in parallel with the on-premises version until the results match.

You will work with a US-based solution architect, an offshore engineer and a test lead, and with the client's IT and finance teams.

Job Description

• Design the target architecture for the modernized application on premises and on Azure.
• Take over an existing AI agent that reads usage reports in PDF, Excel and other formats, then fix its accuracy and finish the approval flow.
• Set up and guide AI-assisted development tools for the rebuild and review the code they produce.
• Design the Azure environment, including security, networking, data and deployment, and get it signed off.
• Plan and run the migration from on premises to Azure, along with system integration testing (SIT) on Azure.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), the production deployment and three months of parallel production.
• Write the architecture documents and runbooks and hand over to the support team.
• At least 8 years in software or solution architecture, with at least 2 years building AI or large language model (LLM) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure OpenAI, App Service or Functions, Azure SQL and Azure DevOps.
• Experience extracting data from documents such as PDF and Excel and measuring accuracy against a test set.
• Experience modernizing a legacy application and migrating it to the cloud.
• Comfort using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and reviewing generated code.
• Clear writing and the ability to explain design choices to business and IT stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Background in billing, revenue or usage-based pricing systems.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP integrations.
