Job summary

NTT DATA's client is seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead agentic AI systems in New York City. The role focuses on owning architecture, orchestration, and the trust/autonomy boundary for autonomous agents deployed in production, not just prototypes.

The ideal candidate has 7–8 years of experience, including 3–4 years building agentic systems, and has worked at AI-native scale-ups or tech giants. Remote/onsite hybrid with a 2-year engagement and competitive hourly compensation.

Job Description:

AI Architect — Principal/Staff Engineer, Agentic AI Systems

Why: Client's SenSei AIOps team needs someone who owns agent architecture, orchestration, and the trust/autonomy boundary — deciding when an agent acts vs. defers to a human. The need is for someone who has taken multi-agent or autonomous AI systems from prototype to production at real scale — a system that makes decisions and takes actions, not a chatbot wrapper.

Must Have:

• 7–8 years overall experience, with at least 3–4 years recent, hands‑on work building and shipping an agentic or autonomous AI system in production
• Direct ownership of core architecture — not a contributor on someone else's design
• Experience at a company like Meta, NVIDIA, AWS, or Google/Gemini (or equivalent AI-native scale‑up)

Preferred:

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is $80 to $90. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
