Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer in Los Angeles to design and build agent-based AI systems across healthcare, finance, and retail domains. You will combine GenAI, ML, and systems engineering to create AI agents interacting with data streams and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include building LLM-powered workflows, RAG over documents, and full-stack Python APIs with AI services and dashboards, while ensuring HIPAA-compliant architectures and Azure deployment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Python-based AI experience.
• 8+ years with GenAI (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompting).
• Experience with traditional ML (classification, regression, NLP, time-series).
• Full-stack experience (API design and UI integration).
• Azure cloud experience (Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AKS).
• Degree: Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agent-based AI workflows across domains.
• Build multi-domain AI architectures for healthcare, finance, and retail.
• Develop full-stack AI applications with Python APIs and UI dashboards.
• Deploy and monitor AI systems in Azure with HIPAA-aware architectures.

We are currently seeking a Agentic AI Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US).

The AI Architect will design and build agentic AI systems for multiple Domains such as Healthcare/ Finance/ Retail etc. You will combineGenAI, ML, and systems engineeringto create AI agents that interact with machines, data streams, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implementagent-based AI workflowsfor different domains such as :
• healthcare use cases (clinical assistants, triage agents, care pathway optimization, RCM automation)
• Designagentic AI architecturesfor manufacturing workflows
• Buildmulti-agent financial AI systems(analysis agents, compliance agents, advisory agents)
• Implement RAG over financial documents, policies, contracts, and filings
• BuildLLM-powered systems(RAG, tool-calling agents, multi-agent orchestration)
• Develop classical ML models (risk scoring, prediction, clustering, anomaly detection)
• ImplementHIPAA aware AI architectureswith auditability and traceability
• Implement GenAI systems using RAG over CRM, customer data, and content
• Build full-stack applications (Python APIs, AI services, UI dashboards)
• Integrate with EHRs, data lakes, and healthcare systems (FHIR/HL7 exposure preferred)
• Integrate LLMs withsensor data, MES, ERP, and IoT platforms
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate medical workflows into agent logic
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI systems in Azure

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years’ experience usingPython-based AI systems
• 8+ years hands-on experience withGenAI (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering)
• Experience withtraditional ML(classification, regression, NLP, time-series)
• Full-stack experience (API design + UI integration) - 5+ Years
• Azure cloud experience (Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Functions, AKS) - 5+ Years
• Experience working inregulated or compliance-heavy domains
  • Comfortable working withsubject-matter experts
  • Stronglearning mindsetand adaptability
  • Experience buildingproduction AI systems, not just prototypes
  • Ability to explain AI decisions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest inagentic AI and next-generation AI architectures
• Degree:Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Additional Desired Qualifications (Not required)

• Multiple Domain exposure
• AWS, GCP, or NVIDIA AI stack experience
• Knowledge of model governance and explainability
• Experience with document intelligence pipelines
