Job summary

New York Life is seeking an AI Application Security Engineer in New York, NY, hybrid role three days per week, to design and implement security controls for AI applications and agentic systems across CI/CD pipelines and data workflows.

You will partner with AI engineers, data scientists, and MLOps teams to harden Vertex AI and other platforms, develop Python automation, and enforce secure development practices in production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing production AI platforms, preferably Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of cloud IAM and secure software supply chain practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement application security controls for AI apps and agentic systems.
• Build security guardrails to protect against AI threats and insecure tool invocations.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD and IaC workflows for Vertex AI platforms.
