  • Develop and optimize prompts, context management strategies, and model outputs for large language model applications, primarily using Claude and Claude Code.
  • Integrate Anthropic Claude, Azure AI Foundry, and other model APIs and RESTful services into firm applications in accordance with firm and industry standards.
  • Apply RAG and related techniques to improve the accuracy, reliability, and usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
  • Build and support internal data-driven tools, dashboards, and the underlying integrations with Azure SQL, Microsoft Graph/Microsoft 365, and on-premises data sources.
  • Implement sound security practices across applications, APIs, and data flows, including the secure handling of sensitive data, such as PHI, PII, and controlled unclassified information.
  • Use Git and collaborative development practices to support code quality, version control, and effective team delivery.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications hosted on Azure App Services and on-premises servers.
  • Partner with attorneys, legal professionals, and business stakeholders to understand needs, define technical requirements, and deliver practical solutions.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to legal staff on the effective use of AI applications.
  • Create and maintain clear technical and user-facing documentation.
  • Stay current on advances in LLMs, web technologies, AI security, and related development practices.
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience in a legal or professional service environment is a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of web application development using JavaScript, .NET, and Python.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-stack application development or application system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience building LLM / GenAI applications, including RAG, prompt engineering, and agents / tool use, with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, and/or Azure AI Foundry.
  • Strong understanding of RAG architecture and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services (App Service, SQL, Service Bus, Entra/AD) and on-premises deployment; Microsoft Graph a plus.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills across multiple technical disciplines and areas.
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Ability to identify practical solutions to complex problems, introducing new technology or refining existing solutions as needed.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical, attorney-facing audiences.
  • Outstanding customer service, written, and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong personal initiative, judgment, and professionalism.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills, and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
