Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking research engineers in the San Francisco Bay Area to build systems for breakthrough AI agents, reinforcement learning, and simulation environments.

You will design and implement agent harnesses, simulation systems, and tooling that empower cutting-edge agent research within a world-class ML team. The role emphasizes developing end-to-end ML systems, from data handling and model training to evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, with collaboration across Apple’s ML

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ML engineering experience building and maintaining training and inference systems, including model harnesses and evaluation pipelines.
• Fluency in Python; deliver clean, well-tested code.
• Experience with distributed ML systems and CI/CD at scale.
• Proficiency with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
• Proven track record shipping ML systems end-to-end from data curation to deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement simulation environments and tooling to enable breakthrough agent research.
