Job summary

Meta seeks an ASIC engineer focused on architecture kernel development to join the infrastructure team. You will help build accelerators for Meta AI workloads, collaborating with AI/ML experts to prototype a PyTorch backend and validate performance through pre-silicon tools and RTL simulations.

The role requires deep knowledge of HPC/kernel development, C/C++/Python, and computer architecture, with opportunities to impact data-center efficiency and energy use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field; equivalent practical experience required.
• 6+ years of experience mapping massively parallel workloads for HPC or kernel development.
• Programming in C, C++, Python, or related languages; experience with architecture or silicon development tools.

Responsibilities

• Work on developing AI kernels for Meta AI models on Meta AI Accelerators.
• Develop tools for static performance analysis and debug performance on the dynamic simulator.
• Identify the compiler, ISA, and optimizations; validate performance on RTL simulation/emulation.
