Job summary

Berea College seeks an Academic Affairs Initiatives Coordinator to manage cross‑functional projects, AI initiatives, curricula, and advising support. You will partner with multiple campus units to align goals, track progress, and strengthen the link between students’ learning and work experiences.

You will support operations, meetings, and events, acting as the primary contact for project progress. Strong communication, organizational, and analytic abilities are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, or a related field is required.
• Minimum two years of experience working collaboratively with multiple departments.
• Willing to work evenings and some weekends during the academic term.
• Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and event coordination.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.
• Must be able to travel by car and/or plane.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for cross-functional Academic Affairs Program initiatives—developing plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and resource planning; maintain documentation and tracking systems.
• Track progress and outcomes for assigned Academic Affairs projects and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support AI initiatives, curricular programming, and advising within Academic Affairs.
• Plan and execute meetings and events with on- and off-campus constituencies.
• Develop dashboards to monitor project status and KPIs and draft related communications.
