General Summary:

The PA or APRN under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

1. Performing physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions also including urologic oncology within the clinic and hospital setting.
2. Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
3. Monitoring the patient’s course of treatment and making appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
4. Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
5. Displaying a caring and professional attitude as well as maintaining personal and professional growth.
6. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.

Schedule Details:

1. Schedule is Monday-Friday
2. Rotating Weekends

Required Education/Experience:

1. Master’s degree in nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies
2. 1-2 years’ experience in Urology, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

1. Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license
2. Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or equivalent
3. BLS & ACLS
4. Current, valid DEA license
