Seattle Roots Community Health seeks a Medical Assistant (MA-C) for the After-Hours Clinic. You will support providers, obtain vital signs, document in medical records, and perform injections for adults and children in a fast-paced setting.

Location: After-Hours Clinic (Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center)
Expected Hours: 20 h rs/week: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, & Fri

Salary: $24.48– $36.55 (+$3/hour additional premium for working at After-Hours Clinic) per hour, payable bi-weekly. The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 in Seattle's Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the CapitolHill neighborhood.

At our medical clinics, an important part of our mission is to be sure that our patients have a caring, friendly provider experience, whether their visit is in-office or virtual. As a Medical Assistant, your stellar interpersonal and organizational skills will be key to achieving this experience. You’ll be an integral coordinator for the provider, monitoring the patient flow for medical appointments and ensuring exam rooms and instruments are disinfected and ready to go. You’ll engage with patients to obtain their vital signs and present complaints, and document those in medical records. Adult and pediatric patients will count on you to expertly administer injections and direct them on ordered follow-up procedures. Patients and providers alike will appreciate your knack for keeping things running smoothly in our fast-paced clinics.
