Job summary

Macomb Community College invites applications for an instructor to teach American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid and CPR and Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers through the Workforce & Continuing Education Center for Health Careers.

The instructor collaborates with the department to offer about twenty courses per year, assists with ordering supplies, ensures cards are ordered from an AH-approved provider, and assesses students on proper technique.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching American Heart Association courses is required.
• Experience teaching post-secondary students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and evaluate students on CPR and First Aid techniques.
• Collaborate with the department to offer about 20 course offerings per year.
• Assist department with ordering supplies.
• Ensure CPR cards are ordered from an approved AH provider.
• Grade students in health-related education programs.
