Job summary

Bastian Automation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for our Georgetown, KY location during the Summer of 2027. You will learn and support Autonomous Vehicle solutions for our customers.

The Engineer Intern will design equipment, create 2D drawings with a BOM, and participate in reviews while gaining exposure to product development and CAD data management under the guidance of the Engineering Team Lead. Travel about 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field.
• Experience with electro-mechanical systems design is a plus.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to design equipment with details for customer acceptance.
• Create 2D drawings for manufacturing with detailed BOMs.
• Participate in internal and external customer reviews.
• Support product development and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update 3D CAD data (SolidWorks).
• Report to Engineering Team Lead.
