Job summary

Lifesteps Inc is hiring a Part-Time Child Care Staff Substitute in the Butler area. This role supports the Supervisor, Children’s Services in meeting the needs of children and assisting in daily routines and activities.

The position is part-time, up to 19.5 hours per week, with Monday through Friday shifts and varying schedules. A strong desire to help others in a nonprofit setting is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must meet one of the following: CDA credential; 30 credits in ECE/Child Development/Special Education/Elementary Education or Human Services; 15 credits plus 1250 hours related to care and development of children; 2500 hours related to care and development of children.
• Able to multitask and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, meets children's needs and assists in daily routines and activities.
• Supports in implementing daily activities and schedules.
• Works part-time up to 19.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday with varying schedules.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of Supervisor, Children’s Services, ensures the needs of the children are met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities.

This part-time position works up to 19.5 hours per week - Monday through Friday hours with the schedule varying.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and one of the following:
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field.
• 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field and 1250 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• 2500 hours of work experience related to the care and development of children.
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
