Job summary

Dakota Mill and Grain, Inc. is seeking a Sales Agronomist in Presho, SD to provide expert agronomy advice and promote our agronomy products and services. You will work with farmers to optimize yields and deliver soil testing, weed and insect control programs, and soil fertility recommendations.

Applicants should have or be pursuing an agronomy degree, read and write clearly, and be capable of extended hours during peak seasons while upholding safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomy advice to help farmers maximize yields.
• Promote and sell agronomy products and services (chemicals, fertilizer, seed).
• Develop and explain agronomy programs for weed, insect control, soil testing and fertility.
• Stay current on industry trends and technologies to offer innovative solutions.
• Participate in field examinations including soil testing and crop scouting.
• Coordinate delivery and post-delivery follow-up of services.
