Job summary

Premier AG Co-Op Inc in Indiana is seeking a laborer to perform a wide range of tasks, including hauling agricultural products to branches or customers, maintaining equipment and facilities, and operating forklifts and skid loaders under branch supervision.

The role requires reading and writing, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a manual transmission vehicle and hazardous materials handling practices. CDL with Hazmat preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture or farming is required.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts is preferred.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
• Ability to operate a forklift and skid loader.
• Ability to follow established processes and communicate with others.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck with a manual two-speed transmission.
• Deliver anhydrous ammonia.
• Haul crop protection products and seed.
• Assist in the maintenance of trucks and equipment.
• Maintain the office area, shop and grounds.
• Perform all other general duties as needed.

Description

The laborer position is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. These tasks may include hauling agricultural products to other branches and/or customer locations, general maintenance of equipment and the facility, operate forklifts and/or skid loader, work with anhydrous ammonia and provide support as directed by the branch manager.

Requirements
