Job summary

CHS Inc. invites applications for an Agronomy Operations Intern in Newark, IL for Summer 2027. You will work with customers to deliver insights and gain hands-on experience in scouting, crop protection, and fertilizer products.

You’ll learn about inventory control, equipment maintenance, and safe operating procedures while collaborating with experienced professionals and mentors in a dynamic agricultural setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.
• CDL license preferred; Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of general agronomy skills including scouting and crop protection products.
• Assist with crop nutrient products, seed, and custom application procedures.
• Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
• Regulate and periodic housecleaning processes and record keeping.
• Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for all agronomy equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers while following safety policies.
