Job summary

CHS Inc. in Pocahontas, IL offers a paid Agronomy Operations Intern internship for Summer 2027. You’ll work with our customers to deliver service and insights while gaining practical agronomy experience.

The program supports skill growth through mentoring, leadership exposure, and real projects across scouting, seed, protection products and equipment upkeep. Start as early as Spring, with potential extension into summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of general agronomy skills: scouting, crop protection, nutrients, seed, and application procedures.
• Perform all agronomy and seed operations.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Regulate and record keeping, and housekeeping.
• Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for agronomy equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
• Work in a safe environment compliant with CHS Environmental and Safety policy.
