Job summary

FS Internship Program at Gateway FS offers hands-on experience in agronomy operations during Summer 2027. You will learn the FS and GROWMARK system, work under location management, and prepare for a career in agriculture.

Participants train in field operations, equipment maintenance, grain and petroleum processes, and customer service while building professional relationships with growers and customers. A CDL permit or Class B Non-CDL may be required, and a 9–10 week summer commitment is

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from a college, technical college or university.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and customer-focused skills.
• Willingness to travel and obtain licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and build professional relationships with customers.
• Assist grain operations with receiving, handling, conditioning, storing, and loading grain while maintaining safety and quality.
• Support petroleum operations through product delivery, inventory management, inspections, and customer service.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment per policies and regulations.
• Obtain and use a temporary CDL permit or Class B Non-CDL license as required.
• Perform agricultural product deliveries under supervision.
• Support daily operational tasks including housekeeping and inventory management.
• Gain exposure to crop scouting, field observations, and customer support activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to growers, customers, vendors, and team members.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
