Job summary

Gateway FS, Inc. in Nashville, IL, is offering an Exploring Agriculture Internship for the Summer of 2027. The intern will assist with agronomy operations, grain handling, and delivery activities under supervision of location management.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree, can work independently or in a team, and are willing to travel. A Class B Non-CDL license is preferred or obtainable, with safety and operational training provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at start of internship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Essential abilities include communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
• Must have or obtain a Class B Non-CDL license and maintain vehicle-operating eligibility.
• Lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to training on company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and build professional relationships with customers.
• Assist grain operations with receiving, handling, conditioning, storing, and loading grain.
• Support petroleum operations through product delivery, inventory, inspections, and customer service.
• Operate company vehicles following policies and regulations.
