Job summary

Premier Cooperative in Mount Horeb, WI, seeks an agronomy applicator to operate and maintain equipment for crop protection products, fertilizer, lime, and other inputs on-site. You will perform outdoor work, ensure accurate records, and maintain safety during daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a CDL preferred or the ability to obtain one, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to work extended hours in peak seasons. This role offers training and advancement within the cooperative.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Agricultural background or experience preferred but not required.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL preferred.
• Commercial Applicator License or ability to obtain required certifications.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and work independently.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and safety commitment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

Job Details: Job Location: Mt Horeb Agronomy - Mount Horeb, WI 53572, This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and contributing to the success of local members.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain application equipment for the custom application of crop protection products, fertilizer, lime, and other agronomic inputs.
• Safely handle, mix, load, and transport agricultural products while following company, state, and federal regulations.
• Complete application records and required documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspections on equipment and facilities.
• Assist with agronomy operations including product receiving, inventory management, and warehouse activities.
• Support customers and coworkers with a strong commitment to safety and service.

Additional Duties May Include

Depending on the location and season, employees may assist with:

• Commercial truck driving and product delivery
• Grain receiving, handling, drying, and facility operations
• Crop scouting and field observations
• Equipment and facility maintenance
• Shop work and mechanical repairs
• Seed treatment and seed handling
• Loading and unloading products
• General agronomy support activities
• Snow removal and grounds maintenance
• Other operational duties as assigned
