#### **JOB DESCRIPTION:**Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established agricultural cooperative in its search for an **Agronomy Location Manager in Nebraska**. This individual will be responsible for the overall leadership, operations, sales, personnel, customer service, and profitability of a full-service agronomy location.This is a hands-on leadership position requiring an experienced agronomy professional who can effectively manage both the people and operational sides of the business. The Agronomy Location Manager will oversee sales, operations, applicators, crop scouting, office/billing personnel, inventory, scheduling, workflow, and customer needs while working closely with senior agronomy leadership to achieve location sales and margin objectives.Responsibilities will include supervising and developing location personnel; coordinating agronomy sales goals; managing staffing and workflow during peak seasons; overseeing product inventory and purchasing needs; maintaining accurate producer contracts, billing, prepay, recommendations, and farm plans; and ensuring the location operates safely and efficiently.The Agronomy Location Manager will maintain strong relationships with growers and member patrons, address customer questions and concerns, provide agronomic recommendations involving fertilizer, crop protection products, and seed, and identify opportunities to increase sales volume and grow the customer base.Additional responsibilities include coordinating safety training and documentation, monitoring DOT requirements, maintaining compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, and other regulations, conducting employee performance reviews, establishing employee goals and expectations, and promoting a positive, productive work environment.This individual will supervise a diverse location team that may include delivery drivers, dry and liquid applicators, office and billing staff, chemical and blend specialists, H-2A employees, sales agronomists, general agronomy operations personnel, crop scouts, and interns.#### **QUALIFICATIONS:*** 5+ years of related agronomy experience required; 8+ years preferred* Previous leadership and personnel management experience preferred* Four-year degree and/or equivalent related experience* Strong working knowledge of crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed, application practices, and agronomy operations* Experience managing day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and customer needs* Strong sales and customer relationship skills with the ability to grow location sales and customer base* Ability to provide fertilizer, agricultural chemical, and seed recommendations* Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT compliance* Commercial Custom Applicator License preferred* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills* Willing and able to work extended hours during peak seasons#### **SALARY:**$100,000-$140,000#### **BENEFITS:*** Medical Insurance - Three plans offered through BCBS* Dental Insurance* Vision Insurance* Life Insurance* UBG Coop Retirement - Defined Benefit Plan/Lifetime Income Plan with a 2% accrual rate per year* 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan - Eligible after 6 months of employment; immediately vested; maximum 4% company match with 5% employee contribution* Paid Vacation* Sick Leave* Holiday Pay* Funeral/Bereavement Leave* Personal Day - 1 day per year after first anniversary* Company-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability* Supplemental Insurance* Uniform AllowanceThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced agronomy professional looking to take the next step in their career with an established agricultural organization.
