Job summary

Crop Quest, Inc. is seeking an agronomist to assist farmers with production decisions and recommendations for fertilizer, seed, and chemicals that maximize ROI. You will work closely with our team to deliver unbiased service and actionable insights.

Responsibilities include monitoring fields for pests, planning crops and irrigation, and applying precision ag data to optimize yields. A Bachelor's degree in agriculture and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fields for insects, weeds, and diseases.
• Provide crop planning guidance including fertilizer, seed, and chemical recommendations.
• Manage water through soil moisture monitoring and irrigation scheduling.
• Utilize precision agriculture data: geo-referenced records, soil texture, pH, OM, elevation.
• Generate variable rate recommendations.

• Ag Chemical, Fertilizer & Seed Recommendations
• Crop Rotation
• Crop Budget
• Fertility Management
• Yield Analysis

Water Management

• Soil Moisture Monitoring
• Irrigation Scheduling

Precision Ag

• Record Field Data Utilizing Geo-Referenced Software
• Work with Soil Texture, pH, OM, Elevation Data
• Grid & Zone Sampling
• Variable Rate Recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS
