Job summary

Crop Quest, Inc. seeks an Agronomist to assist farmers with crop production decisions and timely fertilizer, seed, and chemical recommendations.

You will work with a team of agronomists and precision ag specialists to deliver unbiased, data-driven advice focused on ROI for customers. A bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Related Field is required.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Crop Monitoring for insects, weeds and diseases.
• Provide crop planning recommendations including chemicals, fertilizer and seed.
• Manage water: soil moisture monitoring and irrigation scheduling.
• Engage in Precision Ag activities: collect field data, analyze soil texture, pH, OM and elevation data; grid & zone sampling; make variable rate recommendations.

• Utilize Imagery Tools

Crop Planning

• Ag Chemical, Fertilizer & Seed Recommendations
• Crop Rotation
• Crop Budget
• Fertility Management
• Yield Analysis

Water Management

• Soil Moisture Monitoring
• Irrigation Scheduling

Precision Ag

• Record Field Data Utilizing Geo-Referenced Software
• Work with Soil Texture, pH, OM, Elevation Data
• Grid & Zone Sampling
• Variable Rate Recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License
