Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative is seeking an Agronomy intern in Mellette, SD for the summer of 2027. Gain hands-on experience alongside industry experts through the Agtegra First internship program and work on daily agronomy location operations.

You'll assist with mixing and blending fertilizers, calibrating equipment, crop scouting, and learning key agronomic practices while supporting safe warehouse and plant operations. Local internship with flexible start/end dates and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an agriculture/agronomy degree program is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• English proficiency required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily agronomy location operations.
• Assist with loading, mixing, and handling crop protection products and fertilizers.
• Calibrate and operate equipment; assist with product deliveries.
• Gain hands-on experience with soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and scouting.
• Assist with inventory management and general warehouse/plant operations.
• Adhere to safety regulations and DOT/OSHA policies.
