Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative in Kennebec, SD is seeking a Crop Scout/Operations intern for the summer of 2027. Gain hands-on agronomy experience by assisting with soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and pest/disease identification, while supporting daily location operations and product deliveries.

You will work closely with agronomists, learn about crop protection product handling and fertilizer blending, and develop maintenance and safety practices in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Enrollment toward an agriculture degree; agronomy program preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older and proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist agronomists in soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and pest/disease ID.
• Follow label instructions when loading crop protection products and blending fertilizer.
• Ensure safe loading, unloading, deliveries; maintain facility equipment knowledge.
• Help with inventory management and basic warehouse/plant operations.
• Adhere to safety regulations, policies, and DOT/fleet safety programs.
