Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. is seeking an Agronomy Intern (Summer 2027) for our Galveston, IN location. This full-time internship supports field scouting, soil sampling, and customer deliveries while learning all aspects of agronomy operations.

You will work under supervision to gain practical experience in retail farm center operations, product handling, and customer service, developing skills for a career in agronomy and agriculture business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience preferred.
• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agriculture Communication, or related field.
• Prior agriculture experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scout fields and make recommendations with supervision.
• Conduct and analyze soil and tissue sampling results.
• Perform field applications and manage inventory of feed, fertilizer, and crop protection products.
• Assist in product deliveries to customers with timely, clear communication and proper paperwork.
• Expand knowledge of the operations side of a retail farm center.
