Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. in Indiana seeks an agronomy intern to support field operations, soil sampling, and customer deliveries at the local location. The role offers hands-on experience across agronomy and farm-center operations.

You will assist in field applications, inventory control, and paperwork while learning from supervisors and teammates. A high school diploma or GED is required, 0-2 years in agriculture preferred, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.
• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agriculture Communication, or related degree.
• Prior agriculture experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Scout fields and make recommendations with assistance from supervisor.
• Conduct and analyze results of soil and tissue sampling.
• Perform field applications and inventory control of feed, fertilizer, and crop protection products.
• Assist in product deliveries to customers, with timeliness, efficient communication, and required paperwork.
• Expand knowledge on the operations side of a retail farm center.
